When most people start thinking about how to make gold fast in World of Warcraft, there are common things which come to mind. Usually they’d try to dream up an elaborate system , try to figure out a way to skirt the rules, or pick some very in demand item to farm or make. Many people just end up with a gathering profession, riding around all over the place mining nodes, skinning animals, or picking flowers.

I’m going to let you in on one of the great gold farming locations Warcraft. This is one of my absolute favorite farming methods because it’s stupidly easy and takes almost no time. I like to do what I call alt-tab farming for this one. What is alt-tab farming? It means I can farm for just a minute, then alt tab out and do something else. Every once in a while I just tab back in, farm for another few seconds, and then go back to my other stuff. It’s a great way to get things done while still accumulating gold.
 

One of the most important things I’m looking for when farming gold is something that can be done in just a couple minutes. It’d be great to be able to farm gold over time without having to spend big chunks of time mindlessly killing the same mob or whatever. One of the keys is to be able to reach the location quickly, and as most people are bound in Dalaran, that’s where we’ll center the search. This particular quick tip is for engineers only.
 

Did you know that Blizzard fully supports rampant gold farming?  I mean, I don't know that you'll find anywhere on their site where they actually say that they support the practice, but all you have to do is look at how quick and easy it is to amass piles of gold in the latest expansion for World of Warcraft and you just know that they are doing everything they can to stuff players' pockets.
 

You can farm gold the old fashioned way, slowly grinding out a few mobs here and there for whatever meager coin they decide to drop. Or you can run all over the world trying to find nodes that someone hasn't already mined, picked or whatever else. Better yet, why not starting farming gold by doing daily quests? There are many advantages, including the predictability, repeatability, and plain old earn rate.
